The Fourth of July is nearly upon us and we’re celebrating in style. We’re planning an awesome sale for the entire week of the holiday, Monday, July 1st – Saturday, July 6th. That means if you’ve got your weekend packed full of cookouts and sparklers, you can stop by our dealership early in the week for massive discounts on great vehicles. Tregembo Motors will be closed on the Fourth of July to observe the holiday, but you can stop by and save the rest of the week. All our cars, trucks and SUV’s will be reduced to wholesale prices.
If you decide to stop by Tregembo Motors Service Department for some routine maintenance on Friday, July 5th, you’ll receive a coupon for a FREE oil change. So join us this holiday weekend and enjoy some major savings.
We’re all looking for a way to save some money these days, especially with the price of gas. Did you know that when you take your car into a shop to have the oil change, you mostly pay for the convenience of someone else changing your oil. It is surprisingly inexpensive to change your own oil. After the initial too costs, such as an oil pan and the basic tools like pliers, all you pay for is the oil and oil filter.
Be sure to follow manufacturer’s guidelines when changing your oil. You’ll find the recommended motor oil type in your owner’s manual. The old standby of an oil change every 3,000 miles doesn’t necessarily apply to every vehicle. Late model vehicles often go much further between oil changes, sometimes up to 7,000 miles or more.
Every one is looking for the best insurance rate. In fact, just think of the many commercials out there asking you to take 15 minutes to get a new car insurance quote, but we haven’t seen one that says what goes into deciding that quote. We did, however, find this nifty infographic (courtesy of www.car-insurance.com) that goes into more detail about which factors determine how much you pay. Though no one knows the exact formula that determines your insurance costs, they have made some educational guesses here. Did you know that insurance companies have their own guarded “insurance score” similar to your credit score? They also take into account many things unrelated to driving, like your marital status and your job title.
After your peruse this interesting graphic, you’ll have a better idea about what exactly is affecting your insurance costs.
Most people just aren’t as comfortable driving at night as they are driving during the day. Restricted visibility and late hours can affect any driver of any age. It’s not surprising the rate of accidents increases after dark, but it is surprising that more than half of vehicle related deaths happen after dark. Being a safe driver means being able to confidently maneuver roads whether it is day or night. We’ve come up with 7 simple tips to improve your driving at night.
1.) Adjust Your Headlights
When driving at night, one of the quickest ways to improve your vision is to adjust your headlights. Often our headlights are pointing too far to one direction and you may not even be aware. If you think your lights aren’t illuminating enough of the road, bring them to a professional or check them yourself. You can adjust your headlights by parking in front of a wall and moving your lights yourself. If you are unsure how to adjust the lights yourself, bring them into our service department and our friendly technicians will adjust them for you.
